New entry rules to Egypt for citizens of Uzbekistan postponed until March 2027

The deadline for introducing new procedures for Uzbekistan citizens entering Egypt has been postponed until March 1, 2027. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

It is noted that as a result of direct negotiations conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Cairo with the Egyptian side, an agreement was reached to review the previously adopted decision on tightening the entry procedure for Uzbek citizens to this territory.

Thus, until the new rules come into force, citizens can travel to Egypt based on the current procedure.

At the same time, the MFA of Uzbekistan continues consistent work with foreign partners to expand opportunities for citizens to travel abroad, introduce visa-free regimes, and simplify existing travel procedures with other foreign states, the statement says.

In turn, citizens were called upon to strictly comply with local legislation and established rules when traveling to foreign countries, fulfill visa and migration requirements, as well as respect the national values, traditions, and public order of the country of destination.

"Responsible behavior of every citizen abroad serves to strengthen the positive image of Uzbekistan and further develop the international cooperation of our country," the agency's message reads.
