Starting November 1, an updated procedure for Uzbek citizens to enter Egypt will come into force, according to the country's embassy in Egypt.

It is reported that before traveling to Egypt, citizens of Uzbekistan must obtain an entry visa in advance through Egypt's diplomatic missions.

Additionally, tourist trips will be organized exclusively through authorized tour operators.

Tourists under the age of 40 can travel to Egypt only when accompanied by close family members — parents, spouses, or children. In this case, the family must have at least $5,000 in cash during the trip, the report says.

Independent travelers over the age of 40 must have at least $3,000 in cash.

The presentation of the following documents and information is mandatory upon entry into Egypt:

Applications to change a tourist visa to another type of visa during the stay in Egypt will not be accepted.

Persons who do not present the required documents in full may be denied entry into the country and returned via the airline that brought them.

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Cairo has asked citizens to take this information into account when planning trips to Egypt.
