Uzbekistan’s passport placed 132nd globally in 2026, with access to 69 destinations

According to Passport Reports, Uzbekistan’s passport ranked 132nd out of 199 countries in 2026 for international travel access. Uzbek citizens may visit 28 countries visa-free, while 38 more destinations offer visas on arrival or other streamlined entry arrangements. Kenya, Cote d'Ivoire and the Seychelles permit entry via an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA).

Uzbekistan’s mobility score is 69 overall, and travelers must secure a visa in advance for the remaining 129 destinations included in the ranking. The strongest access is in Central Asia. Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan allow visa-free entry for Uzbek citizens, while Turkmenistan requires a visa.

Across Asia, Uzbekistan’s overall travel access rate is 59.2%, which puts the country 29th among 50 passports in the region. Uzbek citizens can travel without a traditional visa in advance to two-thirds of Persian Gulf countries and to more than half of destinations in the Middle East.

Access differs in other regions as well. Outside Asia, the Caribbean has the highest proportion of destinations offering visa-free or simplified entry, at 50%. The figure is 42.6% in Africa, 30.4% in North America and 28.6% in Oceania. South America offers simplified access to 16.7% of destinations for Uzbek passport holders.

Europe has the lowest access rate, at 10.6%. Among the 47 European destinations covered in the data, five allow visa-free entry for Uzbek citizens. The report also evaluates countries by how open they are to incoming travelers. On that measure, Uzbekistan ranks 52nd.

Citizens of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Japan and 91 other countries can enter Uzbekistan either visa-free or through the country’s electronic visa system. Uzbek citizens, by contrast, must obtain visas in advance to travel to those countries. The data also highlights the reverse visa rules. Twenty-five countries grant visa-free entry to Uzbek citizens while requiring their own citizens to get a visa to enter Uzbekistan. Iran, Kenya, Uganda and Zimbabwe are among them.
