From November 1, entering Egypt will become more difficult for citizens of Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan's Embassy in Cairo reported this, citing information received through diplomatic channels.

Entry into Egypt for Uzbeks will become more difficult from November 1

Starting from November 1, 2026, a new procedure will apply to the entry of Uzbek citizens into Egypt. The new requirements relate to obtaining a visa, organizing a tourist trip, the age of the tourist, and financial support. This was reported by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Cairo, citing information received through diplomatic channels.

According to the new procedure, citizens of Uzbekistan must arrange an entry visa in advance through Egypt's diplomatic missions before departing for Egypt. Tourist trips must be organized through authorized tour operators.

One of the most significant changes is related to age. Tourists under the age of 40 can visit Egypt only accompanied by immediate family members — parents, spouse, or children. In this case, the family is required to have at least 5,000 US dollars in cash during the trip.

Citizens over the age of 40 who are traveling independently must enter with at least 3,000 dollars in cash.

When crossing the Egyptian border, tourists will also be required to present a document confirming a hotel reservation, mobile communication details, and information confirming the availability of sufficient financial resources.

Another change is that applications to change a tourist visa to another type of visa while on the territory of Egypt will not be accepted.

A citizen who fails to fully provide the required documents and information may be denied entry into Egypt. In such a case, the tourist will be returned back via the airline that brought them to the country.

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Cairo urged citizens planning to travel to Egypt to consider in advance the new requirements that will come into force on November 1.
