Nearly 72 percent of electric vehicles in Uzbekistan are concentrated in Tashkent
According to the National Statistics Committee, as of July 1, 2026, 122,700 electric vehicles were registered across the country.
The largest share belongs to the city of Tashkent — 88,496 electric vehicles. This is equivalent to nearly 72 percent of the total indicators across the regions.
Tashkent region ranks second with 9,546 electric vehicles. 4,870 electric vehicles were recorded in Samarkand region, and 3,784 in Khorezm region.
There are 3,045 electric vehicles in Kashkadarya region, 2,442 in Fergana, and 2,227 in Navoiy. 1,963 electric vehicles are registered in Bukhara, and 1,607 in Andijan.
1,387 electric vehicles are registered in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 1,237 in Namangan, and 993 in Syrdarya.
This figure stood at 701 in Jizzakh region, and 429 in Surxondarya region.
The number of electric vehicles in Tashkent city is nearly 2.6 times higher than the total figure of the remaining regions combined. The highest result after the capital belongs to Tashkent region, with the difference amounting to 78,950.
