Foreign-invested enterprises in Uzbekistan top 20,000
Uzbekistan registered 20,973 operating enterprises and organizations with foreign investment as of August 1, 2026, according to data from the country’s National Committee on Statistics.

Foreign-invested enterprises in Uzbekistan have exceeded 20,000.
Tashkent city accounted for 13,114 of these entities, while the Tashkent region had 2,901.
The regional figures also included 754 in the Samarkand region, 659 in the Fergana region, 630 in the Surkhandarya region, 519 in the Andijan region, 449 in the Bukhara region, 341 in the Syrdarya region, 335 in the Navoi region, 331 in the Namangan region, 283 in the Jizzakh region, 258 in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 214 in the Khorezm region, and 185 in the Kashkadarya region.
As of August 1, 2026, there were 445,700 active commercial organizations. Limited liability companies (LLCs) made up 80.1% of the total, or 356,812. Private enterprises numbered 47,241, or 10.6%, while family enterprises totaled 37,345, or 8.4%. Joint-stock companies numbered 646, accounting for 0.1% of all commercial organizations, and 3,653 organizations, or 0.8%, were classified under other legal forms.
