Nearly 42 kg of opium found in "Cobalt" gas cylinder

In the Denau district of the Surxondaryo region, 41 kilograms and 904 grams of opium were found in the gas cylinder of a stopped "Cobalt" car. During the swift operation, two people who arrived to pick up the narcotics, as well as the individual identified as the customer, were detained.

According to the SSS, the operation was conducted in cooperation with employees of the State Security Service and internal affairs bodies.

The vehicle coming from Tashkent region was driven by a resident of Denau district, born in 1977. When the car was stopped and inspected in the district area, it was revealed that 43 packages of opium were hidden inside the gas cylinder in the trunk.

During the operational event, two citizens born in 1960 and 1983, who had arrived to pick up the narcotic substance, were detained. They reside in Denau and Sariosiyo districts. The official report notes that both had been previously convicted of crimes related to drug trafficking.

In the next stage, a resident of Sariosiyo district, born in 1978, was also detained. The SSS identified him as the customer of the narcotic substance brought from a neighboring country. He had also been previously convicted of a crime related to drug trafficking.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against these individuals, and investigative actions are ongoing.
