More than 5,000 schools in Uzbekistan will switch to a new assessment system
Starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, an additional 1,568 general secondary schools in Uzbekistan will implement a new criteria-based assessment system. As a result, the number of schools covered by this system will exceed 5,000 across the republic.
It was announced that more than 5,000 schools in Uzbekistan will switch to a new assessment system.
In order to objectively assess students' knowledge and skills based on clear criteria, continuously analyze educational results, and expand the scope of the new assessment system, the list of schools that will join this system has been approved.
According to it, starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, another 1,568 general secondary schools will switch to a criteria-based assessment system.
In the new system, students' knowledge and skills will be assessed on a 100-point scale based on established criteria.
This assessment system was first introduced in Uzbek schools in 2023, initially covering 500 schools in the republic.
In subsequent years, the system was gradually expanded. With the addition of 1,568 more schools in the new academic year, the criteria-based assessment system will be in effect in more than 5,000 schools across the country.
