The new academic year in Uzbekistan's universities will begin on September 7.

In Uzbekistan, the start dates for classes at universities, academic lyceums and technical schools for the 2026/2027 academic year have been approved.

The start dates for the new academic year in higher and secondary specialized educational institutions in Uzbekistan have been set.

According to the approved schedule, students at academic lyceums and technical schools will begin classes on September 2. First-year students at higher education institutions will begin their studies on September 7, while second-year and subsequent students will begin their studies on September 14.

As a reminder, entrance examinations for state universities and vocational educational institutions in Uzbekistan concluded on July 23. Over the course of ten days, more than 610,000 applicants took the exams. The second stage of the admissions campaign took place from July 25 to August 8, during which applicants had the opportunity to choose an educational institution, a field of study, a mode of study, and determine their priorities.
