More than 500 Uzbeks in the US and Canada sent an appeal to Shavkat Mirziyoyev

More than 500 Uzbeks living in the United States and Canada have sent an appeal to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The appeal recognizes that relations between Uzbekistan and the United States of America are moving to a new level.

This appeal to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was signed by the Chairman of the Vatan Global Alliance Society Ozod Soliyev, People's Artists of Uzbekistan Ezro Malakov and Muhabbat Shamayeva, and 500 people living in the United States. The full text of the appeal is given below:

To the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev!

We, your compatriots living in the United States of America and Canada, are sending you this appeal, expressing our deep respect and sincere gratitude.

Recently, the presentation ceremonies of the book “Millat shavkati” were held in Philadelphia and New York. These events have become an important spiritual event for us, uniting compatriots living across the ocean and united by a common goal and feeling.

The great changes that have been taking place in New Uzbekistan in recent years, large-scale reforms aimed at the well-being of the people and the development of the country, as well as the growing prestige of Uzbekistan in the international arena, described in the book “Millat Shavkati”, aroused great interest and satisfaction among our compatriots.

The sincere thoughts expressed during the presentations, the great interest in the changes taking place in our homeland, and the sense of pride in the hearts of our compatriots showed us another truth: Oceans and thousands of miles cannot separate us from our homeland. No matter where we live, the only and dear homeland that unites us all is Uzbekistan!

Dear President!

Under your leadership, today our country is taking its rightful place in the world community as a state with its own word, a firm position, an open policy and clear development goals. We, our compatriots living abroad, are feeling these changes especially clearly.

Once upon a time, for our compatriots living abroad, in particular in the United States and Canada, it was associated with various difficulties to return to our homeland, meet with their loved ones, and establish free and close relations with Uzbekistan.

Today, however, the situation has changed radically. Thanks to the policy of openness and popular support that you have initiated, relations with compatriots abroad have reached a new level. Communicating with them, listening to them, strengthening their ties with the homeland, and involving their knowledge, experience and capabilities in the development of Uzbekistan have become one of the important directions of state policy.

In particular, in recent years, the fact that relations between Uzbekistan and the United States have reached a new level gives us special pride and satisfaction.

Your direct and trusting communication with US President Donald Trump, high-level meetings and telephone conversations, as well as expanding cooperation with the US government, Congress, and business circles, contribute to the growing interest in Uzbekistan in America.

Today, we see new opportunities opening up between the two countries in political dialogue, trade, economic, and investment cooperation, education, culture, and other areas.

Dear President!

The policy you are pursuing not only creates new opportunities for us, but also places great responsibility on our shoulders.

We should not remain mere observers of the processes in Uzbekistan while living abroad. We need to be worthy representatives of Uzbekistan in the countries where we currently live, to convey the true image of our homeland to the general public, to support its interests, and to build new bridges of friendship and cooperation between Uzbekistan and the countries of the world.

It is for these purposes that the Vatan Global Alliance society is working to unite our compatriots living in the United States and Canada, to unite their intellectual, economic, and social potential around common noble goals, and to further strengthen their ties with Uzbekistan.

We are trying to expand our contacts with members of the US Congress, including Congressmen Brian Fitzpatrick and Brandon Boyle, as well as state and city government and public figures, governors' and mayors' offices, business circles, and representatives of various nationalities and communities.

We want Uzbekistan to be talked about more in America, Canada, and other countries.

We want to make the world community more aware of the rich history and culture of Uzbekistan, the values of our people, its current development and huge economic potential.

We consider it one of our important tasks to attract American entrepreneurs and investors to Uzbekistan, bring new technologies, knowledge and experience to our homeland, strengthen educational and cultural ties, and especially to firmly connect the younger generation growing up abroad with the homeland.

Dear Shavkat Miromonovich!

The presentations of the book “Millat shavkati” in America revealed another important truth: the changes and achievements being made in New Uzbekistan today resonate in the hearts of hundreds of thousands of our compatriots living across the ocean.

The reputation of the homeland is our reputation.

The success of Uzbekistan is our success.

The raising of the flag of Uzbekistan high on the world stage is a source of pride and honor for every compatriot.

Therefore, through this address, we would like to express not only our gratitude to you, but also to convey an important thought:

We are with our Motherland.

We will make our worthy contribution to the development of New Uzbekistan to the best of our ability. We are ready to serve to further strengthen the friendly and cooperative relations between Uzbekistan and the United States of America.

We will mobilize our knowledge, experience, capabilities, connections and potential for the prosperity of our Uzbekistan and the well-being of our people.

We highly appreciate and support your efforts to make New Uzbekistan a stronger, more prosperous, open and a state that occupies a worthy place in the world.

We wish you good health, strength, family peace and great success in your responsible activities for the prosperity of our people and our Motherland.

Taking this opportunity, we sincerely congratulate you and through you the entire people of Uzbekistan on the 35th anniversary of the independence of our homeland. Independence is the greatest blessing of our people, the foundation of our national pride and future. Today, the growing prestige of New Uzbekistan on the world stage, the tremendous changes in the lives of our people, and the confidence in the future once again demonstrate how great a value our independence is. May the 35th anniversary be a happy occasion for all our compatriots, including those living in different parts of the world! May our homeland be peaceful, our people prosperous, our independence eternal, and the position of our Uzbekistan in the world be even higher!
