More than 50 medals in eight days. Young weightlifters from Uzbekistan completed the Asian Championships with flying colors.

Over 50 medals in eight days: young weightlifters from Uzbekistan triumphantly completed the Asian Championships.
Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz News Agency. The Asian Junior and Youth Weightlifting Championships brought the Uzbek team not only numerous individual victories but also the team lead. Over the eight days of competition, the athletes won 50 medals and took victory in the team competitions in four events.
On the final day of the championships, held in the Olympic Village in Tashkent, medals were awarded in the heaviest weight class.
In the youth category over 110 kilograms, Omadillo Olimov won the clean and jerk and the combined total, completing the tournament with a gold double.
In total, the Uzbekistan team won 51 medals at the tournament. Among the youth athletes, the team won 7 gold, 10 silver, and 6 bronze medals—a total of 23 medals.
The junior team earned 6 gold, 8 silver, and 14 bronze medals—a total of 28 medals.
The team standings were also successful, with Uzbekistan taking first place in four categories: total points among the youth, points among the girls, overall junior scores, and among the boys.
The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan congratulated the Uzbekistan Weightlifting Federation, the athletes, coaches, and fans on their outstanding results at the championship.
Earlier, Nikita Tsvetkov and Sergey Rostovtsev, members of the Uzbekistan track cycling team, won medals at the IV Budapest GP international tournament in Hungary.
