Mirziyoyev announced $30 billion worth of initiatives for the Bukhara Region

It is planned to implement new projects and initiatives totaling $30 billion in the Bukhara Region. They will affect various sectors of the regional economy and will be aimed at improving the daily quality of life of the population.

This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a meeting dedicated to the socio-economic development of the region.

"We came with new initiatives worth $30 billion, which will bring positive changes to the economy of Bukhara and the daily lives of its people," the head of state noted.

One of the key areas will be the development of drinking water supply and sanitation systems. Currently, a project worth $385 million is being implemented in this sector jointly with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. An additional $248 million is planned to be raised for its second phase.

As a result, water supply quality will improve for 1.7 million residents of all districts and cities of the region, and 775 thousand people will be connected to the sewerage network. The share of the population provided with centralized drinking water is planned to be increased from the current 80% to 95%.

The President emphasized that residents are waiting for these changes and instructed responsible officials to accelerate the implementation of the projects.
