Measures against morning congestion in the Tashkent metro have been strengthened
In order to create convenience for passengers during morning rush hours in the Tashkent metro, the number of trains on some lines has been increased, and the headway between them has been reduced.
The Traffic Management Center regularly monitors the transport flow in the capital, including passenger movement in the metro. Based on the conducted analysis, practical measures were implemented in cooperation with "Toshkent Metropoliteni" JSC.
In particular, on the Chilonzor line, while 27 trains previously operated from 07:00 to 08:00, one additional train was introduced to the line. Now, 28 trains serve passengers during this time interval.
On the O‘zbekiston line, the number of trains operating from 07:00 to 10:00 was increased from 16 to 18. With this, the interval between trains was reduced from 3.5 minutes to 3 minutes.
In addition, the headway between trains on the O‘zbekiston line during the day has also been significantly reduced compared to previous indicators.
It is noted that as a result of the measures taken, passengers' waiting time at stations is being reduced, ensuring more efficient use of available transport capacities.
