Tashkent metro reduces train intervals during peak hours. Video

With the start of the new academic year, the Tashkent Metro has stepped up its operations during peak hours. Train intervals have been reduced on all lines, and additional staff duties have been introduced at stations.

The reduction in intervals is due to the expected increase in passenger traffic during morning and evening hours. Now, trains on the Chilonzor line run at intervals of 1.5–2 minutes, on the Uzbekistan line — up to three minutes, on the Yunusabad line — up to four minutes, and on the Circle (above-ground) line — 7–8 minutes.

Additional measures have also been taken at the stations. During peak hours, managers and responsible metro employees are on duty at all 50 stations. They monitor passenger flow, assist passengers, and, if necessary, respond quickly to emerging situations.

Special attention is paid to the "Chilonzor", "Pakhtakor", "Amir Temur Khiyoboni", "Alisher Navoi", and "Beruniy" stations, where increased passenger loads are expected.

The metro administration emphasized that the train schedule will be adjusted based on passenger traffic.

In addition, starting September 7, a temporary bus route "Mirzo Ulugbek Metro Station – UzSWLU" began operating in Tashkent for the convenience of students.
