Tashkent metro will reduce service intervals at the start of the school year.

With the start of the school year on September 2, Tashkent Metro trains will have reduced intervals during rush hour. On the Chilanzar Line, these will be reduced to 1.5-2 minutes, on the Uzbekistan Line to 3-3.5 minutes, on the Yunusabad Line to 4-4.5 minutes, and on the elevated Circle Line to 7-8 minutes.

The Tashkent Metro has announced its readiness for a significant increase in passenger numbers expected with the start of the new school year on September 2.

In this regard, train intervals will be reduced during peak hours.

According to the metro, of the 14 new trains scheduled for delivery this year, 11 have already been commissioned, and the remaining three will begin service soon.

As a reminder, the school year in Uzbekistan begins on September 2. Classes for students at academic lyceums, technical schools, and first-year students at state universities will begin on September 7, and for senior students at universities, on September 14.

To reduce congestion on the capital's roads, morning classes at universities will begin at 8:00 AM this year. Furthermore, the city administration intends to transfer city and district khokimiyats, departments, and subordinate agencies to working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
