Train frequencies on the Tashkent Metro will be reduced during peak hours of the day
Train intervals will be reduced to 1.5–2 minutes on the Chilanzor route, to 3 minutes on the Uzbekistan route, to 4 minutes on the Yunusabad route, and to 7–8 minutes on the elevated ring road route.
Tashkent Metro is preparing for an increase in the number of passengers in connection with the start of the new school year. This was reported by the official channel of the metro. The goal is to provide passengers with a comfortable, safe and high-quality service.
According to the report, during the busiest times of the day, the interval between trains on all routes will be reduced:
* On the Chilanzor route to 1.5–2 minutes;
* On the Uzbekistan route to 3 minutes;
* On the Yunusabad route to 4 minutes;
* On the Underground Ring Road to 7–8 minutes.
In addition, by 2026, it is planned to replenish the metro fleet with 14 new, modern trains. So far, 11 of them have been delivered, and 3 more trains are expected to be delivered in the near future.
In order to improve the quality of passenger service, ensure safety at stations, and effectively manage passenger flow, a duty system has been introduced at all 50 metro stations during peak hours of the day.
