Kyiv–Mykolaiv passenger train hit
In the Nikopol district of Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region, five people were killed and at least seven others were injured as a result of a Russian drone strike on a passenger bus. Russian forces also struck a passenger train on the Kyiv–Mykolaiv route, but there were no casualties as the people on board had been evacuated in advance.

On September 16, the Russian army attacked a moving passenger bus with a drone in the Nikopol district of Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region.
The head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, Oleksandr Ganzha, said that five people were killed and at least seven others were injured as a result of the attack.

Russian troops also targeted passenger train No. 122, which runs on the Kyiv–Mykolaiv route.
According to the railway company "Ukrzaliznytsia", the monitoring group warned of the danger in advance. Therefore, the locomotive and train crews, as well as all passengers, were evacuated in time.
No one was injured as a result of the attack. Buses were arranged to transport the evacuated passengers to their destinations.
On the night of September 16, Russian troops also attacked Kyiv with kamikaze drones.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that a fire broke out in a warehouse building in the Svyatoshynskyi district. One person was injured and hospitalized as a result of the attack.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that a Russian FPV drone also struck a passenger car in Kherson. The car caught fire as a result of the strike, and the fire was later extinguished. No casualties were reported in this incident.
According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of September 16, Russia attacked the territory of Ukraine with 80 strike unmanned aerial vehicles.
The Ukrainian side stated that 63 drones were shot down or suppressed by air defense systems.
According to the Air Force, drone strikes were recorded in seven locations, and debris from downed devices fell to the ground in two other areas.
