Kindergarten fees have changed in Uzbekistan.
Starting September 1, parental fees in state kindergartens in Uzbekistan will change depending on the region, length of stay, and number of children.
In Uzbekistan, updated rules for child care fees in state preschools will come into effect on September 1, 2023. According to a Cabinet of Ministers resolution issued on August 25, parental fees will now be determined using coefficients linked to the basic calculation value (BCV) and will depend on the region, the length of the child's stay in kindergarten, and the number of children from the same family attending the preschool.
On average, parental fees have increased by 6.8%. Instead of fixed amounts, coefficients will now be used relative to the BRV, which has been set at 440,000 soums (SUM), effective September 1.
**Monthly fees by region:**
* **Tashkent:**
* Per child: from 54,472 soums (4-5 hours of stay) to 413,292 soums (24-hour stay).
* For multiple children from the same family: from 36,300 to 294,756 soums per child.
* **Regional centers:**
* For one child: from 50,292 to 393,008 soums.
* For multiple children from the same family: from 35,244 to 280,852 soums per child.
* **Cities of regional subordination:**
* For one child: from 44,836 to 350,284 soums.
* For multiple children from the same family: from 33,088 to 248,292 soums.
* **District centers:**
* For one child: from 40,568 to 311,828 soums.
* For multiple children from the same family: from 27,764 to 234,432 soums per child. * **Other locations:**
* Per child: from 36,300 to 290,488 soums.
* For multiple children from the same family: from 25,652 to 220,000 soums per child.
**Baseline Carrier Rate Coefficients in Tashkent (per child):**
* 4-5 hours: 0.1238 Baseline Carrier Rate
* 9 hours: 0.6602 Baseline Carrier Rate
* 10.5 hours: 0.7864 Baseline Carrier Rate
* 12 hours: 0.8908 Baseline Carrier Rate
* 24-hour stay: 0.9393 Baseline Carrier Rate
For families with multiple children attending kindergarten in Tashkent, reduced rates are available: from 0.0825 Baseline Carrier Rate for 4-5 hours to 0.6699 Baseline Carrier Rate for 24-hour stay. Similar principles for applying coefficients are in effect in other regions.
Therefore, the final monthly parental fee will be determined based on three key factors: the location of the preschool, the length of the child's stay, and the number of children from the same family attending the preschool. Calculations will be based on the BRV of 440,000 soums, which has been in effect since September 1.
