Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz News Agency.

In Uzbekistan, the first public higher education institutions have begun disclosing tuition fees under differentiated contracts for the 2026/2027 academic year. At Termez State University, fees reach 90 million soums, varying depending on the chosen program, while Namangan State Pedagogical Institute has decided to leave last year's rates unchanged.

According to information published by Termez State University, the minimum differentiated contract fee for full-time undergraduate students has been set at 29.6 million soums. This amount applies to such programs as archeology, biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, sociology, and several philological fields.

Tuition for majors in design, music, and other arts is 35.8 million soums. History, Uzbek philology, psychology, and journalism cost 37 million soums, while English philology costs 48.9 million soums.

The highest tuition, reaching 90 million soums, is for programs in law, international relations, and public administration.

For evening and distance learning, the differentiated contract ranges from 34.5 to 90 million soums, depending on the chosen program. A second degree in law will cost 68.6 million soums.

The full tuition list is available on the Termez State University website.

Namangan State Pedagogical Institute, meanwhile, has decided not to increase the differentiated contract. For the 2026/2027 academic year, the university has retained the fees in effect for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Previously, it was reported that there had been a significant increase in student enrollment at universities in Uzbekistan.
