By Decision No. 508 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated September 22, 2026, the procedure for bringing, placing, and keeping vehicles detained for violations of legislative acts in temporary storage places in the city of Tashkent was approved.
According to the regulation, when an authorized state body makes a decision to place a vehicle in an impound lot, a notification about this is sent to the relevant state bodies and service-providing legal entities through the "Jarima maydonchasi" (Impound Lot) module.
When an offense is committed that entails disqualification from driving, the vehicle can be brought to the impound lot only with the help of special equipment, including a tow truck or a manipulator.
Once the circumstances that served as the basis for detaining the vehicle are eliminated, its release from the impound lot is permitted through the "Jarima maydonchasi" module.
The permit is issued by an official of the body reviewing the administrative case through this very module. The document is verified with a QR code.
The issued electronic permit is sent to the driver of the vehicle and the legal entity providing the storage service through the "Jarima maydonchasi" module within one working day. An SMS notification is also sent to the driver's phone number.
Under the new procedure, a specific restriction is placed on permits issued outside the electronic system. In particular, it is prohibited to release a detained vehicle from the impound lot on the basis of a permit that has not been issued through the "Jarima maydonchasi" module.
Thus, even after the circumstances that served as the basis for storing the vehicle are eliminated, the process of its release must be carried out on the basis of a permit issued in the electronic system.
The regulation defines the implementation of the processes of temporary storage, placement, and release of vehicles detained due to violations of legislation in the city of Tashkent on the basis of a unified procedure.
