In Uzbekistan, garbage trucks will be trackable in real time via Toza Makon
In Uzbekistan, digital monitoring over household waste removal is being strengthened. Residents will be able to see approaching garbage trucks, check charges, and receive recalculations for periods when service was not provided. This was reported by the Waste Management and Circular Economy Development Agency.
The Toza Makon billing system is refining the mechanism for tracking the movement of garbage trucks. The system will account not only for geofences, but also for specific resident addresses and waste collection points.
Technological equipment can be tracked in real time via an app and a Telegram bot. Users will also receive notifications when garbage trucks are approaching.
How service quality will be monitored
If a garbage truck does not arrive on schedule or a company fails to provide the service, its performance will be audited. If violations are detected, an official report will be drawn up.
For periods without actual service, residents' fees will be recalculated. Overpaid funds will be returned to their personal accounts.
Companies that provide poor-quality waste removal will be divided into three categories: "red," "yellow," and "green." Financial sanctions and other measures under the law are provided for violations.
In cases of serious violations, the authorities will be able to terminate contracts with companies through the established procedure.
