In Uzbekistan, inflation in September amounted to 0.7 percent
In September 2026, consumer prices in Uzbekistan increased by an average of 0.7%. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee.
Annual inflation reached 6.4%. This is 1.6 percentage points lower than in September 2025, when the figure stood at 8%.
Over the month, food products became more expensive by an average of 1%, non-food goods by 0.3%. The cost of paid services rose by 0.9%.
Among food products, the most noticeable price increases were for tomatoes — by 14.2%, cucumbers — by 13.5%, and carrots — by 12.4%. At the same time, citrus fruits became cheaper by 12%, and grapes by 5.7%.
In the non-food segment, AI-95 gasoline became more expensive by 4.2%, and propane by 4.2%. The price of methane remained unchanged.
Among services, the sharpest price increases were for the services of state preschool organizations — by 6.8%. Legal services became more expensive by 6.6%, and tuition fees at state universities under contract rose by 6.3%.
To calculate the index, specialists registered more than 2 million prices in over 10,000 retail and service outlets. The observation covered 419 types of goods and 98 types of services.
