According to the National Statistics Committee, in September 2026, the consolidated consumer price index on a monthly basis amounted to 100.7 percent. In September 2025, this figure was 100.6 percent.
From the beginning of the year to September, the price index reached 104.2 percent. On an annual basis, the index amounted to 106.4 percent. In September 2025, the annual figure was 108 percent.
Excluding changes in fruit and vegetable prices, the index during the month was also 100.7 percent. It was recorded at 105.6 percent in January–September, and 106.8 percent on an annual basis.
In September, rice and rice grits became more expensive by 1 percent, and buckwheat by 1.1 percent. The price of eggs increased by 5.3 percent.
Beef with bones became more expensive by 1.7 percent, mutton by 1.3 percent, and boneless beef by 1.1 percent. Prices for chicken meat parts increased by 1.2 percent, and milk and butter by 0.8 percent each.
Meanwhile, sugar became cheaper by an average of 0.9 percent during the month. Various changes were also observed in fruits and vegetables: tomatoes became more expensive by 14.2 percent, cucumbers by 13.5 percent, and carrots by 12.4 percent. Citrus fruits became cheaper by 12 percent, grapes by 5.7 percent, and apples by 2.4 percent.
In September, the average consumer price of gasoline increased by 1.2 percent. AI-92 became more expensive by 0.7 percent, AI-95 by 4.2 percent, and AI-98 and AI-100 brands by 0.4 percent each.
The price of propane increased by 4.2 percent, while there was no change in the price of methane. On an annual basis, gasoline became more expensive by 20.1 percent, propane by 48.9 percent, and methane by 10.1 percent.
Services of state preschool education organizations became more expensive by an average of 6.8 percent from September, and private kindergartens by 1.7 percent. Prices of private schools increased by 6 percent, and tuition fees in state higher education institutions rose by 6.3 percent.
Tutoring services became more expensive by 1.9 percent, and foreign language learning courses by 1.8 percent. Water and sewerage services increased by 2.1 percent, and maintenance fees for apartment buildings rose by 0.6 percent.
