In Uzbekistan, the Abdulla Avloni State Award has been introduced to honor leading educators at all levels of the education system.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this at a meeting with teachers and mentors on the eve of their professional holiday.

The head of state emphasized that previously, no such special state award for educators existed.

"I propose to name this award in honor of our Jadid ancestor Abdulla Avloni, who laid the foundation of Uzbek national pedagogy," the president said.
