Starting January 1, doctors in the Bozatau and Takhtakupyr districts of Karakalpakstan will begin receiving salary bonuses of up to 200%. This was announced during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to the region.
Currently, such payments are received by medical professionals working in Muynak. This measure is designed to increase the accessibility of medical care in remote areas.
At the same time, the list of high-tech medical services is expanding in the region. Liver and kidney transplants are being performed at the Nukus Central Hospital.
The Aral Sea Region Children's Hospital provides 150 types of high-tech care. Since the beginning of the year, 1.5 thousand complex surgeries have been performed in Karakalpakstan.
In addition, a medical insurance mechanism has been introduced in the region. Medical institutions received equipment worth $10 million.
A medical scientific academy was established in Nukus on the basis of a public-private partnership. A university medical cluster will be formed on the basis of the academy, clinics, and a new multidisciplinary hospital.
