"In the Footsteps of the Jadids" competition: winners will be granted privileges for admission to higher education

The new season of the "In the Footsteps of the Jadids" competition for school students is starting in Uzbekistan. Students in grades 6-8 and 9-10 who are interested in studying the lives and works of Jadid enlighteners and analyzing the ideas in their works can participate in it.

The district and city stages of the competition, organized by the Republican "Kelajak" Center, will take place in October, the regional stage in November, and the republican stage in December.

First, students will answer test and oral questions related to the lives and works of the Jadids. In the next stage, tasks will include solving puzzles, analyzing designated works, and writing essays.

Participants who reach the finals will demonstrate their knowledge of the Jadids and present a project on a topic of their choice. Projects can be prepared in areas such as school, national education, foreign educational experience, language, ecology, theater, history, vocational training, press, national values, and women.

Preparation for the competition can begin in the "In the Footsteps of the Jadids" clubs in schools. According to the President's decree of January 2026, club members discuss the books they have read and read at least 20 works throughout the year. It is established that the most active club members will be rewarded every quarter.

It is reported that 656,171 students registered for last year's season of the competition. The winners visited universities in Berlin and Hamburg, Germany.

In the current season, 14 students who show the highest results will also be sent on a foreign educational trip.

Graduates who win first place in the republican stage will be granted the privilege of receiving the maximum score in the subject for which the highest score is allocated in the professional (creative) exam at higher education institutions. This privilege can be used within one year from the date of the competition.

Applications to participate in the competition are accepted through the "jadidlarizidan.uz" platform until October 15. There are separate registration forms for students in grades 6-8 and 9-10 on the website.
