In Tashkent, there are plans to create more than 14,000 new places in schools and kindergartens in 2027

Tashkent is preparing a large-scale upgrade of its educational infrastructure for 2027. It is proposed to build two new schools, expand existing educational institutions, and reconstruct kindergartens in the capital. As a result, 12.4 thousand new school places and 2 thousand places for preschoolers will be created.

The projects were developed taking into account the capital's population growth and the demand for places in schools and kindergartens. A working group led by the Deputy Khokim of Tashkent, Durdona Rakhimova, studied the capacity utilization of educational institutions and the need of each district for additional places.

Within the framework of the program, it is proposed to build two new schools, each designed for 1.9 thousand students.

Another nine schools in Mirzo-Ulugbek, Yashnabad, Sergeli, Yunusabad, Shaykhantakhur, Uchtepa, Almazar, and Yangikhayot districts are planned to be expanded through reconstruction and the construction of additional buildings. The capacity of these facilities will increase by several thousand places.

Separately, major renovations are planned for schools No. 178 and 90 in Chilanzar district and school No. 172 in Yakkasaray district.

The changes will also affect preschool education. In Shaykhantakhur district, kindergartens No. 140 and No. 229 will be expanded, in Yashnabad — No. 517, and in Almazar — No. 277. In total, they will receive 930 additional places. Major renovations are also planned for kindergartens No. 200, 496, and 526 in Chilanzar district and No. 333 in Mirzo-Ulugbek district.

All projects have so far been prepared as proposals for inclusion in the state program for 2027 and reflect the real needs of the capital's districts.

At the same time, Tashkent schools are implementing the SI Davomat system with "smart" cameras for online attendance tracking.
