This week, the simultaneous construction of 12 modern schools started in Tashkent. The project is being implemented jointly with the construction company NRG-BI.

The new schools will be built in 11 of the 12 districts, with the exception of Bektemir. Two schools will be built in the Yangikhayot district.

The construction work is scheduled to take eight months. By the beginning of the next school year, it is planned to create a total of 18,000 new student places.

"These will be schools of a new format — technological, ergonomic, comfortable, and inclusive. The projects have been developed in three types, taking into account modern architectural solutions and the necessary infrastructure," the press service of the capital's khokimiyat reported.

Deputy Khokim of the city Durdona Rakhimova announced that the capacity of the schools will range from 1,500 to 2,000 places.

According to Nurbol Shalkenov, Managing Director of NRG-BI, the schools are designed using international standards and modern educational practices. They will be five-story buildings consisting of seven educational blocks that can be added to existing schools.

Additionally, a project for the construction of 16 modern kindergartens has been developed. They will be of five types, Durdona Rakhimova said.
