In Tashkent, a young man who did not pay the bus fare and resisted the inspector was sentenced to 3 days of detention

In the city of Tashkent, an administrative detention sentence was handed down to a passenger who did not pay the bus fare, failed to comply with the lawful demands of the inspectors of the "Monitoring and Control of Passenger Transportation in Tashkent City", and caused a conflict.

It is reported that on August 15, during a raid conducted in the Chilonzor district, when citizen M. M. got off the bus, inspectors asked him for a document confirming payment of the fare. However, the passenger made various excuses, violated the rules of conduct in society, and refused to comply with the inspector's demands.

In the process of clarifying the citizen's identity, he started a fight and tried to use force against the inspector. This situation was recorded on the inspector's body camera, the report says.

On September 24, at an open court hearing held in the Chilonzor District Criminal Court, M. M. was sentenced to 3 days of administrative detention.

Inspectors of the State Unitary Enterprise "Monitoring and Control of Passenger Transportation in Tashkent City" are considered representatives of authority. Attacking them, threatening them with violence, or insulting them leads to liability in accordance with the law, the ministry reminded.

For information, starting from September 1, passengers must pay the fare as soon as they board the bus. Otherwise, the passenger is considered to be traveling without a ticket and a fine (44 thousand soums) will be applied to them in accordance with Part 5 of Article 144 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.

Inspectors will now also monitor fare payment inside the bus; until now, they conducted checks at bus stops.
