In Surxondaryo, a teacher who harassed his colleague via Telegram was sentenced to 5 days of administrative arrest

In the Kumkurgan district of Surxondaryo region, a school teacher who harassed his colleague via Telegram was sentenced to 5 days of administrative arrest.

The incident occurred in April 2026. A man born in 2003 wrote to his female colleague, whom he had known beforehand, via Telegram and proposed having a romantic relationship with her. Despite the woman stating that she was married and had children, Sh.S. continued to send inappropriate messages of a sexual nature.

According to the woman, this situation caused conflicts in her family. She requested that legal action be taken against her colleague.

Sh.S. admitted his guilt, expressed remorse for his actions, and stated that such a situation would not happen again.

The Jarkurgan District Court on Criminal Cases found Sh.S. guilty of committing the offense stipulated in Part 1 of Article 41-1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility and sentenced him to 5 days of administrative arrest.
