In Navoiy, a youth leader who harassed a female passenger was sentenced to 5 days of administrative arrest.

It was revealed that Sh.Sh., who works as a youth leader in one of the neighborhoods of the Qiziltepa district, agreed to drive G. to the district center in his Nexia car on August 18 at around 00:10.

During the trip, the man repeatedly proposed a romantic relationship to the woman. After the woman refused, he pulled the car over to the side of the road, got out of the vehicle, and grabbed the woman's hand. Following this, a dispute arose between them. The angered woman insulted Sh.Sh. with various words.

During the court hearing, Sh.Sh. admitted his guilt, expressed remorse for his actions, and asked for leniency. The woman admitted to insulting him during the argument but stated that she still had claims against Sh.Sh.

The Qiziltepa District Criminal Court found Sh.Sh. guilty of committing the offense stipulated in Part 1 of Article 41-1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (sexual harassment) and sentenced him to 5 days of administrative arrest.

The woman was found guilty under Article 41 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility and fined one time the base calculating amount, which equals 412,000 soums.
