19-year-old man sentenced to 4 days in prison for sexually assaulting school janitor in Fergana.

A 19-year-old man was sentenced to 4 days in prison in the Sokh district of Fergana region for sexually assaulting a school janitor.

The incident occurred on August 10 at around 10:30 in front of one of the district's secondary schools.

It turned out that H.I., born in 2007, was walking past the school when he met N.Sh., a janitor who was leaving work. After that, he made sexually explicit remarks to the woman and offered her money for sex.

Angered by this, the victim told the man that her son was her age and contacted the internal affairs bodies about the situation.

In court, H.I. explained what he said to the woman as a joke and asked the court for leniency.

The Sokh District Court for Criminal Cases found H.I. guilty of committing an offense under Part 1 of Article 41-1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (sexual harassment) and sentenced him to 4 days of administrative detention.

Earlier, a school principal in the Tashkent region was sentenced to 5 days of administrative detention for sexually harassing a female student. It was also reported that an employee of the district preschool and school education department in Samarkand was sentenced to 5 days of administrative detention for sexually harassing a school teacher, and in Syrdarya, a school counselor who sent sexually explicit messages to a female student via Telegram was sentenced to 5 days of administrative detention.
