The Senate press service reported that within the framework of the conference of young parliamentarians, members of the Senate met with delegations from Great Britain, Ireland, and Russia.

Within the framework of the 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which is taking place in Samarkand, members of the Senate of Uzbekistan met with parliamentary delegations from Great Britain, Ireland, and Russia.
The British delegation was represented by A. Kearns, a member of the House of Commons International Development Committee, and D. Carden, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee. During the meeting with them, issues of further developing multifaceted relations and strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation were reviewed.
During the meeting with the delegation of Ireland, which was led by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Enterprise, Trade and Employment, James O'Connor, the parties discussed issues of intensifying inter-parliamentary cooperation, attracting IT and new agricultural technologies, as well as interaction in the field of education.
The parties also considered expanding cooperation within the framework of international parliamentary organizations and implementing joint projects in the context of partnership with the European Union.
At the meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, A. Trembitsky, issues of further intensifying inter-parliamentary relations between Uzbekistan and Russia were reviewed.
It was noted that thanks to the political will and trusting relations between the heads of the two states, cooperation between the countries is developing at the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.
