In New Tashkent, the process from land allocation to project launch for entrepreneurs may be reviewed
During a meeting with investors and entrepreneurs, Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the need to review the process from land allocation to project launch for entrepreneurs in New Tashkent.
"New Tashkent is not just an area where new housing will be built," the president said.
It was noted that this area should become an independent economic center attracting modern business, education, medicine, tourism, and services. However, two-thirds of the land allocated so far accounts for housing projects.
Active construction has not yet begun on 28 lots granted to investors. The head of state said it would be incorrect to explain this by a lack of funds or desire among investors. Outdated requirements, lengthy approval processes, and some agencies acting as inspectors instead of partners are hindering the projects.
"And an investor will not wait. If they do not feel support and guarantees, they will direct their capital to another market," the head of state said.
Therefore, the need to review the process from land allocation to project launch for entrepreneurs was emphasized.
Currently, the demand for land in New Tashkent is growing. While the average value of one hectare was less than 10 billion soums in 2024, it has now reached 19 billion soums.
