**In Navoiy, a private kindergarten teacher who beat children was sentenced to over 3 years in prison**

A court verdict has been handed down to a teacher who had been beating children aged 1 to 3 at one of the private kindergartens in the city of Navoiy.

It was revealed that N.E., born in 2003, worked as a teacher in a group of children aged 1 to 3 at the kindergarten from December 2025 to April 2026. She had been hitting and using violence against five children in the group. As a result, the children sustained minor bodily injuries that did not lead to health deterioration.

On April 7 of this year, an employee who had joined the workplace as an assistant teacher filmed the situation and exposed it. According to her, N.E., angered by two children fighting during a lesson, hit them in the face, threw them to the ground, and kicked them. The employee stated that she did not manage to film all the instances, and that the teacher would also get irritated and raise her hand against the children when they were not sleeping. Later, these videos reached one of the parents.

In court, the mother of a victim child said she had noticed changes in her child long before the videos spread, but had not paid serious attention to it.

"In the last two months, my child did not want to go to the kindergarten and was being cranky. I thought it was just a normal tantrum. One day, a bruise appeared on his leg. When I asked what happened, even though he cannot speak fully yet, he said 'hit'. After the videos spread, when I showed him the teacher's photo, he pointed at her. That was when I understood why he didn't want to go to the kindergarten and cried," the child's mother said in court.

Other parents also stated that they had seen bruises and scratches on their children's bodies. Some children had started crying and becoming afraid, refusing to go to the kindergarten.

One of the children was taken to a neuropathologist because of continuous crying. According to the mother, the child later became unable to socialize with other children, and would cover his ears and get scared upon hearing loud noises. The woman stated that a psychologist and a speech therapist are currently working with him on a regular basis.

When parents asked about the injuries on the children, the teacher had explained it by saying they had fallen or fought among themselves.

The defendant, N.E., partially pleaded guilty in court. She admitted to hitting the children but claimed that this was not a regular occurrence.

"One of the children in the group was always making noise and biting other children. When I told his mother about this, she said, 'If he doesn't do what you say, hit his little leg.' That day, I hit and kicked some children, and pulled their ears. I was nervous due to family disputes. However, I did not beat the children regularly," the defendant said.

The conclusion of the psychological examination ordered regarding the situation confirmed that the children had extremely severe traumatic conditions, fear, and symptoms of physical violence associated with the teacher. The specialist stated that when shown the teacher's photo, the children flinched and reached for their parents.

The court assessed the testimonies of the victims and witnesses, video recordings, forensic medical examination conclusions, and psychological examination results as evidence confirming N.E.'s guilt.

The Navoiy City Court on Criminal Cases found N.E. guilty under Article 110, Part 2, Paragraphs "a" and "v" (torture) of the Criminal Code and sentenced her to 3 years and 3 months of deprivation of liberty. She was also deprived of the right to work as a teacher in preschool educational institutions for a period of 2 years.
