An operational event was conducted by employees of the Namangan city department of the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office.
During the event, F.A., head of the Yangi Namangan district department of the "Energosavdo" branch of "Regional Electric Networks" JSC, and master workman A.A. were detained by operational officers.
Having colluded, they told citizen B.K. that the electric meter in his non-residential building was allegedly faulty and that a fine of 300 million soums would be issued if a report were drawn up.
Then, stating that they would not draw up the report if given 4,000 US dollars, they were caught with material evidence while receiving 2,500 US dollars of that amount.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this situation, and investigative actions are being conducted.
