In Kokand, after attacking his pregnant wife, a man threw his young son out of a second-floor window. The child suffered severe injuries and died. The woman managed to escape by running to the neighbors for help.

The tragedy occurred on May 6, 2026. According to the woman, shortly before the incident, her husband began threatening to kill her and the child, exerting psychological pressure on them on religious grounds.

In the morning, the man attacked his wife and son, attempting to strangle them. He demanded that they recite the Shahada and threatened to kill them if they refused. When the woman managed to break free and run out of the apartment, the man threw the child out of the second-floor window.

According to the forensic medical report, the boy suffered multiple injuries, which caused his death.

A forensic psychiatric examination revealed that Akbarzhon Khaidarov suffered from an acute polymorphic psychotic disorder with symptoms of schizophrenia. Experts concluded that at the time of the crime, he was unable to understand the nature and danger of his actions or control them.

The court found the man guilty under the charged articles of the Criminal Code, but due to his established insanity, ordered compulsory treatment at the Republican Psychiatric Hospital with intensified supervision in Tashkent.
