President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the technopark in the Khojaabad district, where the production of smart water meters has been established. The enterprise is capable of producing up to 1 million devices per year.
The $25 million production facility was created in cooperation with the Chinese company Sanchuan. Approximately 80% of the processes there are robotized.
The meters, which operate on 5G technology and were developed with the participation of Huawei, make it possible to monitor water consumption and quality, equipment status, and balance online.
This production facility is part of the "Andijan Technopark," which is being established on 100 hectares. It is planned to locate 51 enterprises there and create 3,000 jobs.
