Artificial intelligence and robots are being used in a knitwear enterprise in Andijan
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the "Eco Cotton" enterprise, which produces knitwear products in the Andijan district.
It is noted that the project was implemented within the framework of the execution of the head of state's decree dated June 29, 2026, aimed at supporting the deep processing of cotton fiber. The enterprise produces environmentally friendly textile products that meet international standards from local raw materials and supplies them to domestic and foreign markets.
The entrepreneur invested 10 million dollars in the project. Through this, 1,000 permanent jobs have been created. When operating at full capacity, the enterprise is set to bring 25 billion soums annually to the state budget.
A dual education system has been established at the enterprise to improve the qualifications of employees. Young people are mastering theoretical knowledge along with practical experience in production.
Automated conveyor equipment belonging to one of China's leading companies has been installed in the production process. All processes are controlled through a digital management system.
The enterprise also has sewing machines that operate using artificial intelligence. The system automatically adjusts the sewing process in real-time depending on the type of fabric, ensuring precise and flawless stitching. Humanoid robots are being used on a trial basis.
"Eco Cotton" has the capacity to produce 9.4 million pieces of 30 types of knitwear products per year. Their total value is 135.3 billion soums.
It is stated that the enterprise's products can compete with manufacturers from Turkey, Vietnam, China, and India due to competitive cost and quality indicators. The annual export potential is estimated at 10.5 million dollars.
Currently, the knitwear products manufactured in Andijan are being supplied to the markets of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Romania, and Moldova. Special attention is also paid at the enterprise to recycling production waste and reducing its environmental impact.
