A "case" has been initiated against individuals who beat a minor child in Bukhara
The Children's Ombudsman has responded to reports circulated on social networks and some media outlets regarding violence committed against a minor child in the Bukhara region.
It is reported that on August 28 of this year, a citizen living in the Bukhara region, E.R., took E.O. (born in 2009), who had come to meet his daughter O.D., in a car against his will to the house of his relative F.F.
There, E.R. and other individuals reportedly beat the minor child.
According to the results of the forensic medical examination conducted as part of the pre-investigation check, injuries were identified on various parts of the child's body.
In connection with the situation, on September 7, a criminal case was initiated against E.R. and F.F. under Article 137, Part 2, paragraphs "a" and "v", and Article 105, Part 2 of the Criminal Code.
Currently, the preliminary investigation is being conducted by the district prosecutor's office.
The Children's Ombudsman stated that they will continue to monitor the protection of the procedural rights of the minor victim.
Additionally, taking into account the interests, honor, and dignity of the child, there was a call to refrain from disseminating unconfirmed information related to the criminal case.
