A criminal case has been opened against a mother in Yashnabad district who has been giving her 3-year-old child sleeping pills and constantly physically abusing him. A protection order has been issued for the child and temporary guardianship has been appointed. Documents are currently being prepared for the court to deprive the woman of her maternal rights.
A criminal case has been opened in Tashkent against a mother who regularly tortured her 3-year-old child by giving him sleeping pills. The press service of the Children's Ombudsman reported this.
A group of citizens appealed to the Secretariat of the Children's Ombudsman about the constant physical abuse of her 3-year-old son A.I. by a 37-year-old woman named A.T., who lives in Yashnabad district, and the constant physical abuse of her 3-year-old son A.I., by giving him sleeping pills and leaving him unattended.
Based on this appeal, the internal affairs bodies and the National Agency for Social Protection investigated the situation at the official request of the Children's Ombudsman. As a result of the investigations, it was confirmed that the child was subjected to regular acts of oppression and torture. Therefore, a criminal case was opened under Article 110 (Torture) of the Criminal Code and a protection order was issued for the child.
Currently, all necessary medical procedures have been performed to restore the child's health, and his condition is stable. The district guardianship and trusteeship body has appointed him as a temporary guardian in order to protect the legitimate interests of the child. Documents are being prepared for the court to deprive A.T. of maternal rights for failure to fulfill parental obligations.
The Children's Ombudsman is keeping this case under its control in order to ensure that the child lives in a safe and healthy environment.
