In Andijan, Artificial Intelligence Will Be Enlisted to Fight Crime

Video cameras in Andijan will not only record events but also analyze data using AI to identify dangerous situations in advance and reduce risks.

This was announced at a meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the socio-economic development of the Andijan region.

To implement this plan, the positions of deputy heads of internal affairs bodies responsible for digitalization and combating cybercrime will be introduced in Andijan, as well as in the Shakhrihan and Andijan districts.

Their main task will be working with city cameras. Artificial intelligence will analyze the footage to prevent hooliganism, theft, and traffic accidents.

Special attention will be paid to internet safety. A cyberattack protection program will be developed in the region, and employees of public sector organizations, schoolchildren, students, and pensioners will be trained in the basics of cybersecurity.

By the end of the year, this experience is planned to be rolled out to other regions of the country.

Earlier, the president was shown a textile enterprise in the Andijan district, where humanoid robots and artificial intelligence technologies are already being used.
