In 2027–2028, monitoring of the situation of children and women will be conducted

In pursuance of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics – 2030, Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 556 of 09.10.2026 "On conducting a Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2027–2028" was adopted.

The organization of the survey will be ensured by the National Statistical Committee and UNICEF. At the preparatory stage, which will last from October 2026 to June 2027, it is planned to determine the sample of households, develop and test questionnaires, prepare the budget, and train interviewers.

The field stage of the survey is scheduled for November 2027. Surveys will be conducted via face-to-face interviews using tablets. The collection and analysis of the data obtained are planned to be completed by March 2028, the preparation of the national report by June, and the publication of the results by July 2028.

To coordinate the work, the creation of a National Interagency Coordinating Council is provided for. It will be responsible for approving the survey plan and budget, agreeing on questionnaires, controlling the quality of work, and reviewing the final report.

The monitoring will be funded through the State Budget, international and donor organizations, as well as other sources. Ministries and departments have been instructed to take measures to attract additional financing and, if necessary, international experts.

When conducting the survey, attention will be paid to the protection of personal data and confidentiality of information. Medical data necessary for the study is permitted to be used exclusively for statistical purposes and within the established scope. Organizations assisting in the monitoring are prohibited from interfering in household surveys.

Based on the survey results, the relevant ministries and departments must develop a set of measures to advance the corresponding areas and submit proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers. The preparation of these measures is planned to be completed by November 2028.

The document was published in the National Database of Legislation in the state language and entered into force on 14.10.2026.
