Illegal drugs worth nearly 500 million soums found in warehouses in Namangan

In Namangan region, illegal medicines worth about 500 million soums were found in warehouses. According to the department under the Prosecutor General's Office, more than 500 million soums of medicines that have not passed the state register, do not have a certificate of conformity and have expired have been detected.

During an operational operation conducted by the Mingbulok district department of the department in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, the activities of the head of LLC "M.SH." A.A. and his partners were investigated. It was revealed that they were storing medicines and medical supplies for sale in warehouses located in the "Boburshoh" and "Porloq" neighborhoods of the city of Namangan.

A total of 32,626 boxes, 485 types of medicines and medical supplies were seized from the warehouses. It was noted that among these products there were products that had not passed the state register, did not have a certificate of conformity and had expired shelf life. The total cost of medicines and medical supplies is estimated at 502.7 million soums.

In this case, a criminal case was initiated against the head of the LLC and others under Article 186-3 of the Criminal Code (production, preparation, receipt, storage, transportation or transfer of low-quality or counterfeit medicines or medical supplies for the purpose of sale, sale of medicines or medical supplies outside pharmacies and their branches, as well as violation of the procedure for retail sale of medicines containing potent substances by prescription). Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.

We recall that previously, 2.2 billion soums of low-quality medicines were discovered in Fergana and more than 577 million soums of medicines stored in violation of sanitary rules in Namangan.
