Undocumented and uncertified medicines worth 577 million soums were found in Namangan.

According to the State Security Service (SSS), medicines worth more than 577 million soums were found in Namangan, which were stored in violation of sanitary rules and intended for future sale.

In order to protect the health of the population, an urgent action was taken in cooperation with the employees of the State Security Service, the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, and the Customs Committee.

During the action, one of the houses in Namangan was inspected with the participation of witnesses. As a result of the inspection, it was revealed that a citizen born in 1996 had medicines stored for sale in violation of sanitary rules.

In particular, a total of 13,184 medicines of 56 types without proper documents and without guaranteed quality were seized as material evidence. Among them are such drugs as "Cefotaxime", "Bifidumbacterin", "Atropine", "Tidomet forte".

It turned out that these drugs were imported from the territory of a neighboring republic through roundabout routes and stored in an apartment used as a "secret warehouse".

According to the assessment, the total value of the seized drugs amounted to 577 million 381 thousand soums.

A criminal case was initiated against this person in this case under Article 186-3, Part 3, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.

The State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan called on citizens to contact the short number 1520 if they encounter similar violations of the law. The confidentiality of the information of the person applying is guaranteed.

It should be recalled that in February 2026, it was reported that a secret warehouse worth 3 billion soums of medicines without quality certificates was established in an apartment in Tashkent, and the activities of those involved in the trade in these medicines were stopped.
