In Namangan, a 37-year-old woman who tried to have her husband killed with the help of a hitman and her 34-year-old lover have been prosecuted.
According to the court decision, the woman named N.M. lived together with the victim M.B. They had one child.
M.B. found out about the romantic relationship between his spouse and the defendant X.T. and began to get jealous. For this reason, the woman searched for a hitman to kill M.B. She approached citizen T.Q. regarding this matter and said she would pay $6,000 in return.
After the woman's request to "find a killer," T.Q. filed an application with the Department of Internal Affairs regarding the situation. Based on the application, on March 4, 2026, an operational event was conducted in cooperation with the State Security Service, the regional Department of Internal Affairs, and the regional prosecutor's office.
During the event, the murder of M.B. was staged. Then, the undercover hitman filmed the situation and showed it to the clients. The woman and her lover were caught when they gave $5,500 to the undercover hitman.
The video released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding this criminal case also shows the clients conversing with the undercover killer via Telegram.
In it, the woman said that her spouse drives alone in a Cobalt car, that he should be killed in a secluded place on the "Andijan–Namangan" road and his car set on fire, and that she would pay $6,000 in return.
N.M. partially pleaded guilty in court and stated that she actually wanted to scare her spouse.
"Because of the constant beatings, the plan was to beat him harder to scare him. My neighbor was a fortune teller, who introduced me to T.Q. When we told him about scaring my husband, T.Q. stated that if he was beaten up, he might file a complaint with the Department of Internal Affairs and the crime would be exposed, but if he was eliminated, no trace would be left. T.Q. urged us to commit the murder. The proposal to kill M.B. was initially made by T.Q. We agreed with him on $6,500. Initially, X.T. gave one thousand dollars."
