A person who offered a bribe of $3,000 to an internal affairs officer was detained in Namangan. The MIA press service reported this.

A citizen was detained in the Namangan region when he offered a bribe of $3,000 to an internal affairs officer in exchange for not sending the documents collected against him to the investigative authorities and withdrawing funds blocked by the bank.

A pre-investigation investigation conducted based on the application of a citizen living in Davlatabad district revealed that the money on the bank plastic card belonging to a person born in 2002 had been transferred to the bank card of another entrepreneur.

Also, when checking the iPhone 15 Pro Max and Galaxy A34 5G phones belonging to the head of the LLC, it was found that the “MobKesh” application was installed on them, and the profile of another person had a limit of 40 million 615 thousand soums and a transaction history of 4 billion 991 million soums.

After that, the citizen offered the internal affairs officer $3,000 in exchange for not sending the documents collected against him to the investigative bodies, not taking legal action, and not releasing the funds blocked by the bank.

During an operational operation conducted by officers of the Main Department of Personal Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the citizen was detained with material evidence while giving $3,000 to Major S. on one of the streets of Namangan.

A criminal case has been initiated against this person under Part 1 of Article 211 of the Criminal Code in this regard. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.

Earlier, it was reported that a person was detained in Navoi who offered a bribe of $1,000 to a traffic police inspector in exchange for “solving” the report and removing the truck from the penalty area. It was also reported that in Navoi, the father of a drunk driver offered a $1,000 bribe to a traffic police officer to avoid sending the documents to court and to remove the car from the penalty area.
