Heat according to the algorithm: artificial intelligence to be tested in Angren's heating system
In Uzbekistan, artificial intelligence is beginning to be introduced into the heat supply sector. Angren has been chosen as the main pilot site for testing the new technologies, where AI will monitor the state of heating networks in real time, detect heat losses, and prevent accidents.
The project is being implemented as part of the cooperation between JSC "Issiqlikta’minoti" under the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Uzbekistan and the South Korean company Human Shift by Creative Meter Tech (HSCMT), which specializes in utility and smart management technologies, the ministry's information service reports.
A monitoring center for the heat supply system, functioning with the use of artificial intelligence technologies, has already begun operations at JSC "Issiqlikta’minoti".
As part of the project, modern ultrasonic meters and automatic control devices are being introduced. The new system will allow real-time monitoring of the state of heating networks, early detection of heat losses and potential emergency situations, as well as improve the efficiency of sector management and the qualifications of specialists. A preliminary study of the feasibility of introducing the new technologies was conducted in Almalyk, Angren, and Chirchik in the Tashkent region. Ten modern ultrasonic hot water meters have already been installed in these areas.
Angren was chosen as the main pilot territory. If the experiment proves successful, there are plans to expand the artificial intelligence-based technologies to other regions of Uzbekistan.
It is expected that the digitalization of heat supply will reduce thermal energy losses, detect accidents and illegal connections more quickly, and increase the transparency and economic efficiency of system management.
Thus, Angren could become the first site in Uzbekistan where artificial intelligence will begin to monitor the "health" of heating networks and help make the heat supply system more modern, reliable, and economical.
