Residents of the Altyaryk district have made significant progress in grape growing. Gardeners who have filled their garden plots with select grapes are now constructing trellises on the streets of their neighborhoods, harvesting their crops. Akhmadzhon ota Otayev is one such gardener.

"It's no exaggeration to say that the residents of Altyaryk plant and grow grapes with love. Come here these days—it's a feast for the eyes. We've switched to growing grapes, erecting tall trellises not only in the courtyards but also on the streets. The goal is to create beauty and make good use of the vacant land.
Our plot is a vineyard from start to finish. Our street was empty, but after consulting with my son, we built a trellis on the street as well, creating a beautiful vineyard. We sell the fruit as we can.
We are currently lovingly tending grape varieties such as "mers," "kora kelin barmok," "kelin barmok," "khusayni," and "shohanak."
We cut some of the grapes and store them for winter sale, while the rest are sold straight from the trellis. We store the grapes in a special air-conditioned warehouse until Navruz.
Whoever works, wins. We bought two rams with the proceeds from the grape sales. God willing, we'll try to raise livestock as well," says Akhmadzhon ota Otayev.

"We put our heart and soul into every vineyard," begins the story of viticulture in Altyaryk. It's no exaggeration to say that the locals approach grape growing with a special love. These days, a veritable riot of greenery and fruit reigns, delighting the eyes of everyone who visits.
Local residents have adopted a new practice: tall grape trellises are now erected not only in courtyards but also along the streets. The purpose of this approach is twofold: to give the community an aesthetically pleasing appearance and to efficiently utilize available land.
"Our entire plot of land is dedicated to vineyards. The street next to our house was empty, and after consulting with my son, we decided to erect a trellis there, turning it into a beautiful vineyard. We sell the harvest as needed," shares Akhmadzhon ota Otayev.
Currently, the Otayev family carefully tends to grape varieties such as Mers, Kora Kelin Barmok, Kelin Barmok, Khusayni, and Shokhanak.
Part of the harvest is cut and stored for sale during the winter, while the rest is sold directly from the trellises. The grapes are stored in a specially equipped, air-conditioned warehouse, preserving their freshness until Nowruz.
"Those who work hard will always be rewarded. With the proceeds from the grape sales, we bought two rams. With God's help, we plan to develop livestock farming as well," concludes Akhmadzhon ota Otayev, exemplifying his hard work and foresight.
