Formula 1 champion Lando Norris extends contract with McLaren

Formula 1 champion Lando Norris has extended his contract with McLaren.
British racing driver Lando Norris has signed a new contract with the McLaren team, which competes in the Formula 1 World Championship. This was announced by the team's press service. The new agreement is valid until the end of 2030.
Norris expressed his thoughts as follows: "This is my home and I am very happy to sign a new contract. When I started this journey nine years ago, I set myself clear goals: to return the team to the top positions and win championships. We have achieved that goal, but now we want more. We want to continue to win and we know that as a team we are capable of doing so. I am looking forward to getting back behind the wheel. I am very excited about what awaits us both in the rest of the season and in the years to come."
Norris, 26, joined McLaren's young talent development program in 2017. He has been competing in Formula One since 2019. The British driver has 13 wins, 18 pole positions and 48 podiums. Norris became the Formula One World Champion for the first time in 2025.
This season, Norris is fourth in the drivers' standings with 159 points after 12 rounds.
